Lee Dong Gun

South Korean actor and singer Lee Dong-gun was born on July 26, 1980. He started his journey in the entertainement industry in 1998 as a singer but soon transitioned into acting. His performances in iconic television dramas such as Sweet 18, Lovers in Paris, and Stained Glass​ have brought him much recognition.

In 2005, Lee took a brief hiatus from acting to recharge, but he returned with renewed vigor in 2006 with Smile Again. His popularity soared, especially in Japan, following the success of Lovers in Paris and his film My Boyfriend Is Type B. Lee’s international appeal expanded firther through his participation in cultural events. He was a representative at the Hallyu Expo in Asia and FACE in Japan Premium Event.

Lee’s personal life has seen both joy and tragedy. In 2008, he faced immense sorrow when his younger brother tragically lost his life in a brawl in Sydney. Despite the devastating loss, Lee remained resilient. He fulfilled his mandatory military service and later married fellow actress Jo Yoon-hee. Their marriage resulted in the birth of their daughter before they ultimately parted ways in 2020.
